WHAT IS PRP MICRONEEDLING?

To stimulate cell rejuvenation we use hyaluronic acid and a hand-held device that contains very fine needles. These needles are used to create micro pores in the skin which stimulate cell turn over and healing. After the microneedling procedure is completed, PRP (platelet rich plasma) is applied to the skin to further support collagen synthesis, reduction of age spots, sun spots, and fine lines.

How does PRP and microneedling work for skin rejuvenation?

The process promotes collagen and elastin synthesis. They also stimulate blood flow to the area and enhance cell cycle turn over.

What is the facial procedure like?

Step 1: A unique collection tube is used to draw your blood and placed in a centrifuge.

Step 2: Temporary numbing cream is applied to the area and left to set for 20 minutes.

Step 3: The microneedling pen is used across the numbed skin.

Step 4: PRP is applied to the area promptly after microneedling is completed.

From start to finish this procedure takes about 50 minutes.

Does the procedure hurt?

A numbing cream is applied to the facial area and allowed to set for 20 minutes prior to treatment. Some patients experience a tingling sensation and notice slight pressure but they are otherwise able to relax.

How many treatments are required?

The amount of treatments depend on the individual’s current skin condition. We recommend starting with 3 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart. Then, depending on the individual’s skin, treatments can be 3-6 months apart.

What is the recovery time?

For full effectiveness the PRP should be left on the skin for a minimum of 4 hours. The skin may appear slightly red or as if it was sunburnt for the next two days. Try to avoid sweaty exercise and applying any chemicals or makeup to the skin for 1-2 days post treatment.

How much do treatments cost?

Each treatment costs $700. A package of 3 treatments cost $1,800.
